The Byrd Buddies

They were all winners Thursday night at the WBHS Talent Show. Yes, if you are willing to get on stage to show your talent, you are a winner. So many people in this world will not do so. The night started with co-hosts Caleb Divers and Cullen Livingstone introducing the judges, Caitlyn Lilley, Chris Steuart, and Daniel Plybon. Opening number was the fantastic Byrd Buddies – Luke Barrett, Ethan Stohler, Rashard Stovall, Brandon Smith, Corey Altice and Kinley Moore. They rocked it!

Katie Gray was awarded a very special award for her endurance and faithfulness to the program; she has been in the show every year, dancing. Well deserved, proud of Katie!

First place went to Rebecca Geisler, Vocal/ Trumpet; second place, Sam Romas and Garrett Walsh, drums; and third, Taylor Dennison, vocal. All outstanding.

The closing number was hilarious with Madison Weisenborn and Tommy Curro. Thank you to the talent show supervisors, Madison Weisenborne, Christi Aker, Alicia Spangler, sound, Matt Bartley, WBHS SCA and Senior Class officers.

This is the kind of show that is great for everyone to become involved in. Thanks to all that came in support of the talent.

Terriers Tackling Cancer – WBHS Cafeteria – 10-2 – Saturday, April 1. Over 30 vendors and silent auction (will end at 1). Please pass the word and attend and help raise money for cancer. Carolyn Williams and Dr. Richard Turner are just two candidates that were saved due to a research drug given. Let’s raise money to pay for research to fight cancer. We are losing too many.

Remember, Vinton’s Relay for Life still need teams and people!

Congrats and Happy Anniversary to Pat and Jennifer Gobble, 31 years. May you have many more together.
